Question Details

Answer

Library Course Materials are a combination of research guides and reading lists. It is a page found in every Canvas course taught at UMD.

The page consists of two parts: a section for course-specific library resources and a section for the course reading list (created by the instructor). Instructors can request the creation of a new research guide by consulting their subject librarian. Resources such as textbooks, electronic resources, websites, videos, scanned PDFs, and more are added to the reading list section through the library's course reserves service. Students are able to access these materials online through Canvas or in person at the library.

More information about library course materials can be found on the Library Course Materials page of the library website.
