Question Details

If I am a UMD student, do I need to be actively enrolled in May or June/July semester courses to borrow from the library durring the summer?
Say I am a UMD student who attends Fall/Spring semester classes and I am enrolled for the Fall semester as well. Am I still able to check out books over the summer as a student not currently taking summer classes or should I fill out a guest borrowing application?

Answer

Hi Sophia,

Your enrollment for Fall 2024 semester makes you eligible to borrow materials, check out study rooms, and use electronic resources this summer.

Have a great summer!

Ask a Librarian

Librarians help students, faculty, and staff with their research. You might reach out to a librarian when...

  • you’re not sure how to get started with a research project
  • you hit a wall in your research
  • your usual process isn't working for a particular project
  • you want to learn about new tools and strategies to aid your research
