Question Details

Answer

No, not all library material is digitally accessible.

We know that ensuring digital accessibility is essential, but achieving this across our entire collection—including older archives and content from external vendors—is an ongoing effort. While we can’t guarantee that all our library materials are fully accessible, we are working to close these gaps through the following standards:

  • Vendor Accountability: We evaluate all e-resource providers and prioritize business with those who agree to meet accessibility standards (like WCAG). Our contracts require vendors to fix accessibility issues promptly and at no cost to the University.
  • Proactive Screening: We include specific accessibility language in our licenses to ensure third-party platforms support inclusive design.
